Liliano Sani
Liliano has lived his entire life in the central hills of Tuscany. He was born in the province of Florence and educated at the local agricultural college. He began his career working for several farms in Tuscany and continued as a highly regarded consultant to some of the most prestigious estates in the area.

Sani is a true innovator. He has developed new types of Sangiovese grape rootstocks that are now exported worldwide. His agricultural expertise extends into the olive business as well, where he is responsible for new clonal development of an olive variety that is widely used in Tuscany to produce world-class olive oil.

He joined Castello di Gabbiano in 1998 where he is responsible for the estate vineyards and olive groves.
